Here is my wonderful new little friend, the beetlekitty. He loves to hide under rosebushes and catnip plants, (or my art desk) and lounge in the shade. He mostly munches on plants but is known to pounce and devour Lady bird beetles if they so happen close by.

He is made of super sculpey (over a frame of course) and some bits of a wonderful white with purple tipped fur I had laying around, painted with acrylics, and given a nice sheen with some (cant think of the name for it.. I wanna say shlack but that's not it.. oh well it's a glossy clear stuff that helps to protect it.. ) VARNISH!!! Gahh.. major brain fart on that one. *closes her eyes* My but it's been a long day! *giggles*(and yes he is sporting 6 legs like any good beetle would!)

Inspired by 's contest (which is now over, bummer) Who's guidelines were work off of the three subjects: Beetle Cat and Purple.

You can't really tell much from these pictures,(my camera isn't the greatest, and neither is the person behind the shutter! ha!) but his paws and tummy are blended lavender between the darker grey and white colors and all over the darker colors he has a sheen of dark purple. as well as purple decorations on his shell. He is really a sight to see in real life!

I'm really pleased with how this turned out! I love him so much *huggles and pets the purty kitty* this is my first real attempt at a sculpture project.

Expect a few more sculptures (that are still sitting on my art desk waiting to be finnished) in the future
